About Me

I trained in couples therapy at the Institute of Family Therapy then the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relations in London. I worked in Counselling Centres as well as charities with all sorts of couples before setting up in private practice. Before this I trained as a Group Therapist at Westminster Pastoral Foundation (WPF) in London on a course leading to full UKCP registration and I have worked with groups as a trainer and practitioner ever since most recently at the Group Therapy Centre and the Cogwheel Trust (with couples and individuals), both in Cambridge. Two years as a counsellor with West Essex MIND introduced me to a broad range of clients.

I moved to Seaford during the summer from a thriving practice in South Birmingham seeing individuals and couples from many different socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds bringing all sorts of difficulties over a period of five years. Working online, I continue to offer psychotherapy to individuals and couples in a range of locations as well as face to face in Seaford.

My approach to counselling/psychotherapy draws on all aspects of my trainings; psychodynamic (which looks at how early experiences with caregivers affect current relationships) as well as attachment-based and systemic. I undertake short and long-term therapy contracts.
